Men vs. women: When it comes to delivering exceptional results for shareholders, guess who wins?
Which companies perform better for investors--those led by women or those by men?
In a limited study, at least, there's a ringingly clear answer: Women deliver the goods on a far more consistent basis.
Looking at the stock performance of the 26 publicly traded companies headed by females on the Power Women 100 list it was found that as a group they outperformed the overall market--companies dominated by male chief executives--by 28%, on average, and topped their respective industries by 15%. (Starting point for each entry: the date the company announced a new female CEO.) These results were not skewed by a couple of supercharged gains, as 16 of the women bosses outgained their respective markets.
This year's assessment by Forbes of the world's 100 most powerful women is based less on traditional titles and roles and more on creative influence and entrepreneurship. Women on the list come from business, politics, media and lifestyle. They have built distinctive companies and brands and championed weighty causes, sometimes through uncoventional means; in other cases they have broken through gender barriers.
Online at: www.Forbes.com/women you can get updated information, search by a variety of categories and link to a list member's Facebook and Twitter accounts.

It is important at the touset for the group to have stated what the agreed commitment of the members is and what are the agreed expectations. As a coach, I would ask the group how the participants feel it is doing as a group, what is it doing well, and where could it improve? If the issue isn't raised, I would ask a further question is there any way the group could improve its effectiveness? . If the issue still isn't raised, it would appear that the two missing people aren't missed so maybe it is not an issue in terms of the work of the group?
