Blogging Boomer Carnival #64
Welcome to the Blogging Boomer Carnival and discover what's new in the world of the Baby Boomer Generation.
You will be delighted and amazed at the variety of posts and the sagacity of the posters.
You will stand in awe of the wisdom and sheer good sense displayed.
The carnival admission is free....but...The Boomer Chronicles is nosy. It wants to know exactly where your money is going.
Beer is available at the fair and so is water. Which raises the question:
Does the recommendation of 8 glasses of H2O per day hold water? Not according to a recent report from the University of Pennsylvania. Head over to the Contemporary Retirement tent to find out more.
The shadow of happiness is fear. Walk over the cobblestones to Don't Gel Too Soon's tent for a disturbing report about a horrifying number of sexual assaults on female soldiers.
Going back in time, in the IRememberJFK tent, the 70's is featured as a decade known for lots of wild and crazy stuff that came and went in a flurry. What was hotter, then colder, than disco music? Other uniquely 70's crazes that appeared for a bit, shined brightly, than vanished included fondue pots, macrame, and CB radios. Another 70's debut, but one that didn't vanish as much as it evolved into smaller, lighter incarnations, was hi-fi stereo systems.
