Choosing a mentor or coach

Being in sync with your coach or mentor matters.  That is why people seeking mentoring or coaching are self-selecting.

We are all inherently subjective creatures and want to be actively involved in selecting who we learn from in a coaching or mentoring relationship.  However, it is best to maintain a guarded edge during the coach or mentor selection process to make a good match between what you want out of the experience and the person who can guide you throughout the process.

Today, many executives and their companies are cutting back on lockstep classroom training and providing more self-drected learning in leadership and management training programs.

To determine if you are ready to select a mentor or coach, check out these websites: www.MentoringandCoaching.com and www.CoachThee.com
